Lancia Aurelia B52?
It is a Lancia Aurelia, not sure if it's a B52 (my source doesn't reveal that). Locked for you to come up with the year and coach builder.

targhediferro

Is it a Frua, 1951?

mekubb

Not Frua, one more before I'll unlock it

targhediferro

I haven't find this car. I just guess Vignale.

mekubb

Not Vignale, open again to all

I have it as a B53... and the B53 chassis were built only in 1952... so... 1953??

Well, my source (a well-known classic car dealer) says its from 1951... so if the B53 chassis were built from 1952 that's rather strange. May be he is mistaken and it is 1952 or 1953. Anyway I call it solved, a point for you. Here is another pic from the car.

Since when did a classic car dealer know anything about classic cars?! (with the odd notable exception..)  The BS I read from them is unbelievable!

What is a BS ? May be I am missing something... I agree that many classic car dealers don't know what they are selling but where did you read about the puzzle item ?

BS = Bullshit!
I wasn't referring to the puzzle car at all - it was just a general comment about so many "Classic Car Dealers"...

According to my source it was built in small series in 1952 and was designed by Franco Scaglione for Balbo.

Yes, this should be the correct identification of the car. Franco Scaglione started his work as a designer in 1952 with Balbo, creating this Lancia and a Fiat 1400, and soon moved to Bertone where he would have become the famous designer we all know.
Do you know the fate of the puzzles car?

Franco-Scaglione

Hi, this car is a 1952 Lancia Aurelia B53 Clothed by Carozzeria Balbo (in Turin) chassis B53-1016. Attached design drawing of that car by Franco Scaglione. Also attached photo of restored car.
