TGF-200
« on: September 21, 2013, 12:00:29 PM »
For my puzzle number 200 I'd like to offer you something more than a simple car to identify.  I hardly dare to challenge with Wendax and his enigmas, but I hope you'll enjoy this game.
You have 20 pictures of 20 different cars; your task is to form 10 couples, putting together the two cars that have the very thing in common I thought about.   It is of course possible that two or more cars among the following 20 have some connection I didn't think about, but you have to discover the correct couples and the correct hint.
I must tell you that it is necessary to identify correctly the cars, but the hint may not depend from that particular model you have identified; for istance, if one car of the couple is a Fiat 500 Gamine Vignale, the hint may be simply Fiat or 500, two stroke engine, Vignale, Turin and everything else.
Experts are allowed to give no more than an answer for each post, waiting at least for another puzzler to post an answer before replying again; no more than three points for each Expert.
Rookies are allowed to give all the answers they want, without a maximum of points.

200-Q, the Fiat Multipla and 200-V the 1965 Land Rover Long Wheelbase Estate
both vehicle's are the manufacturer's attempt to provide transport for the larger family.

Expert don't like this kind of challenge so much...so Pros can enter the battlefield...Rules are the same I told for Experts:  Pros and Experts are allowed to give no more than an answer for each post, waiting at least for another puzzler to post an answer before replying again; no more than three points for each Expert and Professionals.
Rookies are allowed to give all the answers they want, without a maximum of points.

A nice idea, but E and O don't form a pair.
200H (Delahaye 235 ) and 200T ( Taxi Renault Juva 4 ) , 2 cars by Faget & Varnet ?
That's the first right guess, and the first point.

I’d pair 200-A with 200-U. They share their model name, referring to the streamlined body of the vehicle: 1936 Chrysler Imperial Airflow, 1939 Dodge Airflow tanker truck.

Another correct answer...it will not last long among Pros!

No, you mustn't wait; the rule is just no more than an answer each post and a new answer after another puzzler's post...so you're allowed to try again.

C and G are a correct pair, but the connection you found is not the one I though...locked for just another guess.

200-N : Is a 1934 Triumph Gloria, that used a Coventy Climax engine.
200-R : Is that a Lagonda Rapier? which also used a Coventry Climax.

Well, N and R are a pair, but R is not a Lagonda, and the connection is not about the Coventry Climax Engine.
