Who knows what this vehicle is?

It was built for a specific purpose. For a point, can you give the make and model name, and say how it worked, and what it was used for?

An airport runway cleaner from the UK?

It is from the UK, and there is an airport connection, but it's an indirect one.

This particular vehicle was not built for use at an airport.

That is one seriously big generator on the back. A lot of power was required for whatever it did.

Anything to do with container docking ?
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

You are edging towards the right sort of area, but it's not a generator on the back.

Is it a king of "Magnetomobile" that can dock at some big iron tructures and push/pull them away with electro-magnetic power?

Is the rounded device at the front indicating that something heavy is turned in a certain direction?

I don't think so. This vehicle pre-dates the tunnel construction by about a decade.

As far as I know they were submarine telecoms cables, for laying on the sea bed. I don't think that really helps, though.
