What sort of vehicle is this? What brand of vehicle contributed to its construction?
-
Up! After a short visit with the rookie(s), this one is ready for the experts.

Well, Cuda, after a heck of a lot of Googling, and I actually think I ran across this one on another search, I cannot do more than this.
It was called an Aerobus, and at least one other name, it was used at the Mount Hood Oregon National Park in at least 1951 and it was featured on the cover of Popular Science in their August 1951 issue.
Sadly, at this point I cannot identify the maker, although I could guess Fageol, perhaps.

More research may indicate a Kenworth/Fageol combination.

I found no connection to Fageol.
Mt. Hood and Kenworth are definitely involved. Looking for a name other than Aerobus.
LOCKED for Bill Murray to find the model of Kenworth involved, and the name/purpose of this vehicle.
-
Kenworth T-216.
It was a so called ski gondola that took folk up to the ski slopes at Mt Hood in 1951.
Bill
-
And the name printed on the side of the bus, as shown on the cover of Popular Science?
-
For Goodness Sake.
Skyway.
Bill
-
Good enough. The point goes to Bill Murray.
This aerial tram was built from two Kenworth T-216 Pacific School Coaches. Because dual controls were required, the front halves of two coaches were combined to make the tram.
