It looks like an early SUV.

For one point, please respond and identify car and coachbuilder.

Looks like the earliest version of a Morris Oxford, the MO of the 1948-1954 period.
A prolific estate car builder of the era was Crayford.  Can this be close??
Cheers
Bill

Yes, Morris Cowley chassis. To distinguish it from other Cowleys it is usually characterized by a three-letter abbreviation. I need that one for the easy part, the harder one will be the coachbuilder which is not Abbott.

Once upon a time a Morris Cowley and a 1946 Ford V8 met in a quiet, dark corner of a big parking area. They fell in love and got married and after a while this was their offspring. Mom's cute-ish face and dad's ungainly feet and backside were what immediately caught the eye, but sadly beauty was not a word which could ever be applied to the progeny. :o ;D
