Solved: Wendax 830 - Heilbronner Fahrzeug-Fabrik
« on: March 07, 2013, 02:19:08 AM »
The company in question built some cars, but was mainly a coachbuilder. You can see one of their coachbuilt bodies below.

For one point, please respond and identify the coachbuilder.

I don't know what car this is, although I don't think it's a Fiat. I am just looking for the coachbuilder.

I believe the coachbuilder that you are looking for is: Schebera.

Not Schebera, but you are not far off

Oooooh, that's tricky.  I incorrectly assumed that the body work on the car (a Heilbronner) was done Schebera, with whom they later merged, but it wasn't.  Further research indicates that this car was done by Luxus Carosserie of Heilbronn.

Well, all the right parts of information are there, just a little shook up. But instead of chasing or guiding you to the right combination, I'll declare this puzzle solved. In the beginning of their existence the Heilbronner Fahrzeug-Fabrik built cars themselves, but they soon changed to coachbuilding only. This picture shows one of their coachbuilt bodies called Luxus-Carosserie Heilbronn. In 1920 they merged with Schebera, a coachbuilder who would soon build complete cars (http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=22964.0) in the Heilbronn factory. After this adventure failed to be successful, the Heilbronn works were sold to Drauz.

One more point for you.
