Base car is easy, but here we have another obscure coachbuilder again.
For one point, please respond and identify base car and coachbuilder.

up
-
The base looks like Dodge WC, and the body is very similar to Fiat 618 little bus or so, and I guess Viberti.
-
You are right about the base car, but the coachbuilder is much more obscure than Viberti.
-
I suppose this is a one-off realised after the WWII, using a Dodge left in Italy by USarmy.

I am probably completely wrong, but I have seen this photo or one very similar to it years ago and did not save it.
As I remember, it was bodied either by a Swiss or an Austrian company.
Even with that memory, two hours of looking have returned nothing but maybe that might help someone else if I am looking in the correct geographical area.
-
You are in the right geographical area for sure.
-
up again
-
Just to narrow it down, is it Swiss rather than Austrian?
-
Not Swiss ;)
-
Johann Zeller, St. Polten, Austria?

Johann Zeller, St. Polten, Austria?
We had a similar car by Zeller before: http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=21222.0
But this time it's not by him.
-
was the coachbuilder situated in Wien?
-
No
-
was it situated in a big city?
-
No, about 20 km away from a big city (on an Austrian scale).
-
was it only active in the 1940s and 1950s?
-
It was founded in the 1920s and is still active as a body repair company.
-
near Graz?
-
No
-
Did they also build car coachwork?
-
As far as I can tell, their business was truck coachbuilding and body repair.
-
Just for fun and a bit of levity, and to show I am really trying on this one, I came up with these treasures. Not our bus but funny anyway.
Edit: Well, still too big but I resized the Hawaii car.

coachbuilder was near St Pölten?
-
No
-
near Innsbruck?
-
yes, within 50 km from there

Karosserie Speckbacher in Weer
-
Collecting the two-pointers today, eh? ;)
You are absolutely right.
-
My hat is off to you Pal!!!
This type of vehicle is my primary field of research and I spent maybe 4 hours trying to solve the puzzle without result.
In the end, after you gave us the coach builder's name, it seems the only photo on the internet is the same as the quiz photo and is only a small one connected to the history of Speckbacher and that gave no details. In fact, there are only perhaps 3 photos of their work on Google/Austria.
Good job my friend!!
