Marketed under the "Mercedes Electrique" marque (the first use of the name Mercedes on a vehicle).
I believe the electric motors were called "Radnabenmotor" (hub cap motor). The design principle emanated from Jacob Lohner and Ferry Porsche (I think.....).
The charabanc probably dates from the pre-1914 period.

No, it doesn't have wheel hub engines and is not a Mercedes Électrique. It was marketed under the Austro-Daimler label. I don't have a year, but I agree on pre-WW I. Locked for one more try.

Okay, I seem to have gone off on a tangent (the wrong one) with this puzzle.

I think it should simply be an Austro-Daimler Elektrobus.

I couldn't pinpoint the exact photo on-line but found this instead -
