I'm fairly confident it's not British. It could well be based on a production car by the look of the wheels. French ?

It's a car that was built in Japan in the early 50's by Yuichi Ohta. It had a Datsun engine.

Thank you for the point, I knew that I'd seen that photo before, and remembered that it was a Japanese car.
