I am a lucky man....some week ago I was digging about a Triumph TR5, and I found a picture of a red car that kept my attention, so I wanted to know more about it;  it was the same as the green quiz car.
So I guess it is a Hathaway Hunter, with Triumph mechanics, build from about 1979.

It seems the last car has been produced in kit in 2012. The name should be Hunter Roadster 6, and is based on the 2.5 litre from Triumph TR6.

I suspect there is something strange in this puzzle;  I found a Dutch club about Hunter, and some articles, but everywhere is clearly told that the car comes from California.
Are you sure about your source?

Perhaps I found:  It seems that in 1996 a German bought the molds, so I suppose this car has been realized under the new firm in Germany.

I think so.
the Roadster Hunter was built in Usa, Gb and Belgium since 1994: in 1996 the production of this vehicle was acquired by the firm XXX from XXXXXXX

Ok, I found the full history now;  in 1996 Thomas Wiegand and Marcel Christ from Germany bought the molds
and the car DB Roadster 1 from Jan De Buyser from Belgium.
They named their company RSC Hunter.  The company Hunter Coachworks put the molds for sale in 2002, in 2009 and again on 31 December, 2011. August 2012 the company was sold to David Alcraft from GB.
Hunter Coachworks made 1 car and produced 5 kits.
So as you said this car is the last built, I think it's the only produced by Hunter Coachworks, in Hannover, Germany
