The year is correct (as far as I know), but it is not a Gazelle.

I have run out of potential Dutch automobile manufacturers for the correct time period, although I expect that this one was (or is) obscure.  Was this puzzle car produced by a manufacturer primarily known for a product other than automobiles/trucks, like a motorcycle maker, body shop, or perhaps a manufacturer of golf carts?

As far as I know this is a typical product of this maker, and we had the company mentioned at AP before.

I can't find any photographic proof, but the puzzle car fits the following description:

"Cock returned to the 1970 RAI with a 3-wheeled city car, equipped with a 50 cc Sachs 2-stroke engine that powered the rear wheels through a chain transmission.  The length of the car was 2,07 m, the width 1,20 m and the height 1,55 m.  There were 2 seats that turned in the direction of the door opening for better accessibility.   Idea was to deliver the car with automatic clutch (they probably mean gearbox) and with 3 gears (probably manual), that can reach a maximum speed of respectively 25 and 35 km/h.  Also an electric variant would be produced.  If the city car, baptised Cockpit-70, proves to be successful, the possibility exists to build in a more powerful engine that makes a top speed of 50 km/h possible.  Due to the limited market, the car never got past the prototype phase."
