Oops sorry, just reread rule 2! Am I ok to cut & paste the text from there, or should I put it in my own words?

Jensen 541 with unique alfa bat inspired styling, first registered October 55 (so a fairly early production car of the 226 made) it even had a 541 reg plate. I can't find any record of it surviving.

former owner Gordon Beer says:
"My 541, which I owned in the early Sixties, was the only one produced by Mssrs Jensen with fins for the 1956 Motor Show... as you can see... these fins were far from tasteless.  This last comment is in response to the comments on the tasteless Zephyr bodied car, which Russ Grief was able to establish was not the same car."

Mike Byrne has provided the following information from his friend Russ Grief about the zephyr version:
"The first 541 I bought was the Batmobile mod. It had huge fins on the rear. You may remember I came down and bought a complete back end and bolted it on to bring the car back to original. It had the initial reg of TBC 94 and the plate was sold to The Boots Company, the chemist chain. Can't remember what the new reg was but the car was deep maroon when it went. No pics I'm afraid."

so there were 2 alternate rear end treatments for the 541!
