It is an Ajokki from Finland, probably built on a Scania-Vabis chassis.

That's obviously right.  A strange beast, actually.

From the days when things used to be very different there from anywhere else in Europe.
I remember seeing my first-ever Japanese car there in the early 1960s, and travelling for the first time ever in a Russian car there at the same time (a Volga taxi).
Now you could be anywhere in Europe, or indeed the world, going by the vehicles.

Very different from the other Ajokki bodies. It can't be found on the Finnish sites.

Oh ! That's the famous "Huurteenpoistoauto" which makes WorldLingo totally helpless  :'( It was used for unfreezing the buses.
A good puzzle, anyway

I believe it is a converted bus as the only trolleybuses to run in Helsinki were made by Valmet plus a single prototype made by Sisu.

It is indeed a converted bus. It is described as a 1959 Scania Vabis/Ajokki
