I must admit they do look very alike, but they are two different cars, by different makers, as they were both by the same coachbuilder, the bodies are probably the same or very similar.

The engine you posted looks like it might be an Aster 43 JS. I tried this on one of the other puzzle cars, with no success, but perhaps this time it is a: 1907 Aster by A. Védrine?

No not Aster, I erased the name that's cast on the first cylinder.
This is the 30 hp engine, name also erased.
