I thought it was Jerry Palmer from GM design.

I am not that good, its just that I remembered seeing pictures of Henry "Hank" Haga, when he was head of design at Opel. By the way does anybody know what the car is behind him.

Iīd like to know that, too.
Maybe it is an early Opel Monza A sketch - they definitly share some design details.

And Haga was the designer of the Monza:

The stylist was Henry Haga, by the way. And Georg Kacherīs view was that in its early forms the Monza was fussily detailed. The 1981 version tidied that clutter away, to the benefit of the underlying design. I quite like it.

Interestingly, that full size GM Opel design airbrush rendering reminds me of the 1982 Toyota Celica GT-S.
