Yes, well done. As Wendax puts it so well I can only add that it is and it is 8)
Opinionated but sometimes wrong

Many thanks for your kind wishes and hearty encouragement. I have frightened myself with my addiction to this site - I am typing this having just returned home from a 7 -hour shift at work, and as usual the first thing I do is check AP for updates.

I will endeavour to earn my entitlement to the tag of Professional by setting puzzles in keeping with the spirit of the site, although they may well tend towards motor sport in the 50s and 60s. You'll have to put up with it. (I wish I had waited a few days before getting those last few right - there are some absolute shoe-ins in the Rookies section at the moment).

Long live AP and all those who sail in her.

Welcome to the club of Professionals!

I really need to use this moment to publically thank Carnut who was selected by me at random as the sounding-board for my trials and tribulations with posting puzzles.

He has been a gentleman about the whole thing, bearing in mind that my ability with the computer verges on the imbecilic. Thanks, Norman.

(PS I have spent some time on the Pros section this morning, and I can't find any answers. Now there's a shock.)
