Solved: PN #455 -- Chiattone Aerable Monobloc body, 1928

I only know the coachbuilder and an approximate year. Identifying the coachbuilder will be enough for a point

This car is driving me mad...I dug everywhere without finding anything hepling me to identify car or coachbuilder.  Today I noticed this picture of a Stoewer V5 1932, with a similar roof, that increase my credence about the fact quiz car is german...Am I right or wrong?

Unfortunately I only know the coachbuilder. And it is not a German company (the donor may have been German, I don't know)

I'm assuming the coachbuilder is European?

To try a different path, Pal, could the chassis be American?
Edit:  I note you said you did not know the make but perhaps you know the origin.
And, the body type was done by a couple of Swiss builders I think.

I don't know the origin, but you are right, the coachbuilder is Swiss. Why don't you try to nail down which one? Locked for you for 24 hours

Hi Pal:
Another hour with no result.  The year is a bit out of my range anyway.

As I am as interested in seeing the puzzle solved as I am solving it myself, please unlock it.  And..........if I am not mistaken, the term "Sedan Decouvrable" is what we are looking for and we need to hook that up with a Swiss coachbuilder.

As a BTW, I had forgotten that this was also a favourite French body style and my PC became clogged with images of Peugeots, Citroens and the like. ::)

Bill
Cheers

This was built in the 1920s -before sedan decouvrable became popular. Unlocked

Berner
Beutler
Ruckstuhl
Geissberger
