Solved -PJ527- Explorer Hybrid and Countryman
« on: April 22, 2013, 03:46:19 AM »
What is this?
I know the model name and the place.
I don't have the builder's name.
1 point for the name of the 2 models shown here.

It looks like the Safari, built by Explorer Cars, later known as Everest & Jennings.

Locked for you.
I have it as Explorer and the 2 models have 2 different names, not Safari.

You may unlock. I can't find anything online.
(Hey, just try to google Explorer or Safari. I'm glad they didn't call it Firefox!  :lmao:)
In my notes I just have the Explorer Safari in an earlier version with small quadruple lights where the puzzle cars have those miniature lights.

Explorer Xxxxxxxxxx and
Explorer Xxxxxx

#1 name has always been property of a specific model
#2 name is very, very used these days for many new, and technologically advanced, models.

Hello?
This is more than half solved.

Explorer Xxxxxxxxxx and
Explorer Hybrid.

The 1st one has got a name used by 1 model in particular, quite known and popular.

They come from an article from mid 1986 where these cars are described as the latest product of a company specialized in vehicles for people with limited mobility.
The Countryman is the red one on the left.
The Hybrid is the blue one on the right.
