Wouldn't be surprised If that car wasn't designed by Wayne Cherry.
I loved the stuff he did whilst at Vauxhall.

There was no doubt in my mind that Vauxhall made some of the best-looking cars of their time.  I made sure my Dad got a Vauxhall Ventora in 1969, as the combination of those looks and a 3.3 litre 6-cylinder engine were very attractive at the time.

It's a pity that neither mechanically nor from a quality point of view did the cars match their appearance, but then I wasn't aware of that at the time!

A friend of mine had a Ventora - you could actually stand INSIDE the engine bay to work on it, with the bonnet off. It was like looking out over a boardroom table, nearly as big as a Zephyr Mk4. Most popular makes of car in those days were shoddy compared to today, but I agree that Vauxhalls seem rarer than,say, Fords at classic car shows because they've all rusted away.

Vauxhall built two versions of the car in 1964-1965 - GT1 and GT2, which differed only in the side windows.
