Any connection to the astra -little horse-(Jarc) from England?

Paul Jaray

Not any.
Not from England.

Possibly a home-built?

Paul Jaray

I have a name for the builder but I can't tell if it's a professional work or just a home-built job.

How was wondering why nobody noticed that!

I have investigated further on the car and have found some basic info.
It was built on a -41 MB 170 VK Kübelwagen chassis, which is some sort of a jeep?
Builder was a Mr Oddmund Kolden in Lom
He built it on order from a teacher in Otta (not far from Lom). This was problably around 1950
The car was later in Østerdalen, until it was bought by the person who owned it when the picture in this puzzle was taken in 1999.
His name is Björn Foslund, and he sold it to a person in Drammen. I have not found the name of the current owner

Not to do with the original quiz car, but here is a photo of a Mercedes 170 Kfz2/40 as a radio/personnel car.

Hi Bill, Thanks for the photo of the MB Kübel. I'm well aware of the VW variants of this type of vehicles, the MB is much more rare I guess

You found a lot of info!
You are right, it was a MB 170 VK Kübelwagen (from 1940 according to my source) and was built by a man from Otta.
I have the builder's name too and it's all that is missing.
