Was the photo taken in period (I'm guessing 1963/65) or has it been "altered" to look old?

There's something not "right" about the photo - cars back then were a lot smaller than today, so even a large GT car would be considerably smaller than the one in the pic. if you see what I mean. Those two men must have dwafism or something, although I realise the body is probably on trestles.

There is no rear window, and the bonnet slopes so sharply there is no room for an engine. Call me Mr. Picky, but it's all a bit odd. Since it's not Europe or USA I'm guessing Australia. Bolwell?
