yes, this is what has been said on AP before. But no, they were not the builders. I have a description from 1967 which identifies the builder and offers a lot of other details, like: "This could genuinely be described as a "backyard special" because the chassis was made in a garden shed, out of hydraulic tubes. The front and rear axles are from an Allard tourer, and the radiator is similar to those fitted to the Standard Ten saloon."
