After conferring with one of the site's editors, and giving it some thought, I have decided to call the puzzle solved. No point awarded.
Please note that the puzzle was LOCKED for 24 hours for D-Type, and his next attempt was only a few minutes later (!). It is my habit to not only post "Locked" in the narrative, but also on the title heading of the puzzle. Whilst the "Lock" is in place, no other member of AP can post a question, or attempt to solve the puzzle. Editors can naturally post any valid comments.
Sorry to be so harsh. D-Type was very magnanimous.
It's on my records as a 1934 Austin 16/6 Berkeley. I thought it was interesting because it's easy to forget that Austin made not only a large range of everyday family cars, but usually had something quite luxurious (by their standards) in the model line-up. From some angles, it looks the same size and style as their smaller cars.
