Gipsy-Dino, 1971

Correct. I thought some Rookies would think it was a Ferrari 312PB. There's considerable speculation on the web about who designed it - Dallara is mentioned, but the first car (this is a second version) was based on an old Dulon.

Hello! According to Alberto Rastrelli, author of "Sport & Prototipi Italiani", a very well researched book about Italian prototypes, Dallara had nothing to do with the Gipsy design, at least officially :)

Sorry moltogatto - links are not permitted here.
I've therefore changed it into the title of the book.

Carnut, no problem, it's my fault, I remembered something about posting links, thought that, once the puzzle was solved, it was allowed :) anyway, for anyone curious about the book an engine search will resolve :) have a nice day!

Carnut, yes, a must for the lovers of obscure racing cars :) cover price is a bit high but from time to time some Italian bookshops sell it with a large discount...I understand that, being large&heavy, shipment'd be expensive, though :(
