Hank McCormack's Custom/Sports Car.  The rear end was the same as Alex Tremulis' 200MPH Ford "Mexico", a modified 1956 Thunderbird concept for the Panamerican race in Mexico.  A McCormack showed up at the Auburn-Cord-Duesenberg club in 1958 and Alex took a few photos if it.  He was intrigued...

That's the car! I'm surprised it hasn't been puzzled before but I'm pleased it's here now.

Here are some more pictures of this nice car, including one showing it being rescued (I think and hope; how could it ever have been allowed to get in that state but hopefully it will now be restored and will survive). Also a picture of it in a car park to show the unexpectedly small size of this car.
