For an easy Rookie point - what is this exactly and from when does it date?

ANYONE FOUND GIVING ANSWERS OBTAINED BY USING GOOGLE SEARCH BY IMAGE MAY BE BANNED FOR AN INDETERMINATE PERIOD!

It's an AC Ace prototype from 1953. If I understand right the info I found it was built on a chassis by Tojeiro, with a body by Tojeiro too and with a 2-litre AC engine...

I have found more pics of this (or similar) AC Ace prototype, but the puzzle picture is the only one with spoked wheels...

Earls Court 1953: the chassis in this picture is AE01, the first production AC Ace, while in the backgound you can see the puzzle car.

And two pictures of the same car, with plate "TPL 792" in two races... maybe the car was fitted with spoken wheels for the races...

That's it, yes.  It's the car that was or became the first AC Ace prototype. The Ace was of course a John Tojeiro design which AC took over and developed into the Ace.
