Built by John Howe:
I took some trouble to make Fanny appear 'old' using simple stock parts for lights etc. Many parts were obtained from the Bealieu AutoJumble. Many other parts came from B & Q ! In 1989, when I finished her, all that was needed was an examination by a registration officer (to check nimbers & allocate a chassis no.) and then a standard MOT test. I drove it to the test station with no number plate (quite legally, insured on chassis no.) A first time fail on a suspension joint was soon dealt with and a pass came on the second attempt. The MOT was then presented and the Q44 VMF plate allocated from Ilford registration office.
