Ennui #(2)482 - Rauch & Lang
« on: June 26, 2013, 04:41:55 AM »
For one point: What is this car?

Only a correct, complete and specific answer will earn a point; tag-on's to other guesses will not. So, be specific and complete!

I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

I'm afraid the postcard that was mailed in 1920 from Brussels has the wrong car

First picture below shows what a 1920's Majola looks like, 2 or 4 cylinder petrol engines.

Second picture is a Rauch & Lang electric car, notice the rectangular side lamps with oval lenses and the rather square rear end boot/trunk

Third picture is a Detroit Electric Brougham, notice the tapered side lamps and the more rounded rear end.

The Rauch & Lang and the Detroit Electric look very alike, but the side lamps and boot/trunk line is slightly different, these two details were what made me choose Rauch & Lang for my first answer.

I have just noticed another major difference between the two electric cars, the Rauch & Lang has suicide doors, same as the puzzle car and the Detroit Electric doesn't.
