Title: Solved - NEH 2657: Pocheron from about 1949

The license plate of this car was 8908 DE 95. Maybe that is a clue.

Quite so. I have 2 or 3 other pictures (see below) but I think they probably all came from Flickr.
When I posted this I didn't have my file in front of me so asked for the date as a matter of habit!
As you say though, it must be around the turn of the decade 1949/50.

This point makes you an Expert so well done (actually I thought you already were when I posted this..!) so that means this is your last Rookie puzzle ID..

But it also means you may now post your own head-scratchers!
