I remember this car from my frequent visits to GM Insider where I saw it listed as a potential Corvette rival . . . it was a design proposal for a revived deTomaso Pantera. This new car was called the "Ford Pantera" by the artist, and it was to be front-engined this time around. I think it was supposed to be on a current-generation Mustang platform but I don't remember many more details. It was just a photshop/drawing, never built.  Nice, though.

Ah, I just went back and saw your "by whom" question so I had to dig back through the GM Insider archives. The contributor who posted it was called MonaroSS . . . don't know his real name.

That's right, yes.
When I posted it I had it in mind that it had been done by a Ford stylist, but seems my memory was playing tricks!
