It's a replica of Phil Scragg's HWM-Jaguar hillclimb/sprint car commissioned by Barry Gurdler and built by Tempero of Oamaru, New Zealand. It was tested by Eion Young in 2007 and I suspect that was the date of manufacture.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

But there's a word missing from the answer I was looking for, and whilst not actually a replica it was said to be strongly inspired by the ****** Special... What's missing?
