1955 Simca Week end

So it would appear, but that front grille is different from the usual Weekends.
I was hoping someone would say this was some particular Weekend by a coachbuilder, but since I can't find anything out myself the information may not be out there.  I'll lock it for you to see if you can find out why this is different!

The body was made by Compagnie Facel-Metallon. FACEL which stand for (Forges et Ateliers de Construction d'Eure-et-Loir) was company created by Jean Daninos before he went on to produce cars with that name.
I was unable to find anything about any Simca Aronde Week End made by any coachbuilder other than Facel.
The puzzle car does have a few differences with other Week Ends, it has some kind of ornament on the bonnet, the handlebar moustache like trim is placed slightly lower than on other cars I've seen and the front bumper guards are low, all other cars seem to have high front and low rear guards, probably when the car was restored rear low bumper guards, were used at the front and a new grille was made.
Please unlock because I doubt I'll find anything more.

I have found a picture of this real car on the net; it's described as an Aronde P60 Monaco Special, but I have lots of doubt this caption is correct. It should be an Aronde 1300 week-end (whose bodies were manufactured by Facel), modified by an obscure coachbuilder.

I think the bodies for all the Simca coupés/DHCs of the time were made by Facel, but I thought maybe this one was different.  On the other hand I thought it might just some later owner adding his own grille and ornament.

Thanks for your input targhediferro but please remember - a puzzle is locked until the puzzle-poster unlocks it!

Your suggestion is interesting though and would be interested if anyone has further information?  Puzzle is now unlocked, but I will give ropat53 a point for correctly identifying the type of car.  Another point for targhediferro if his information turns out to be correct.

Sorry, I know it was locked, but I didn't mean to give an answer, I just wanted to suggest a possible way.

Looking for info on this car I see most of the 2-door Arondes from 1958 to 1963 are P60 Monaco Speciales...
On this site I got this from (and I can't find a picture of it anywhere else) it's simply called a Simca Aronde Cabriolet, so it's time to give ropat53 his point and call this one solved..

Here are the other pictures from that site:
