This was Gottfrid Larssons second home made car. The first one he did some ten years earlier was a little bit more tiny, but still a well constructed and well built four wheel sports car with a motorcycle wheels and engine.
The pictured car took some 2000 hours to make (mostly outdoors) and the chassis came from a Bedford. This was the real thing. The two tone paint is blue and Gottfrid, who worked as a metal man in Östersund, did all the work himself. There were several cars built in the town at the same time – only one is known to have survived.
One very memorable trip went to Strömsund in the summer of 1954, but Gottfrid and his fiance also toured in Norway. One time the car went off the road, but no injuries followed.
In 1956-57 Gottfrid sold his car and it has not appeared ever since. I have some wonderful pictures on the car and it is deeply missed by the family, especially Gottfrids daughter, still living in Östersund in Sweden.
