Mmmm an Antem body, but it's not the DB...

It is by Antem, yes, but it's not the similar-looking DB that has been puzzled here before.
I'll give you a 24 hour lock to see if you can find a bit more out.

There is an interesting debate, this being the Delahaye-Antem or not. I found a picture at the Bagatelle from a concours d'elegance with a lady leaning to it. Defenitely same car. But.

But the Delahaye-Antem that still exists should have longer slits in the side fenders and other blinkers. Or is that another one?

On another Forum the belgian Panhard connoisseur Bernard Vermeylen stated that this car with elegant lady was not the Delahaye Antem but bel-et-bien the DB-Antem with modified grill. But the it changed slits in side fenders too... javascript:void(0);

The DB-Antem was a one-off built for the salon in 1949 and was supposed to bring DB a small series luxury coupe based on their tuned Citroen Traction technology. But Citroen forbade that and the car was sold to Pierre Louis DREYFUS. He ordered a sunroof but no pictures of changing side fenders or grille. Puzzling! It was demolished in a fire when a garage burnt down around 2000.

Soooo my reply Carnut is that I am not shure. My guess would be still the DB-Antem Citroën since this car has the same window type. Not the split front window the Delahaye has... (Bernard, I'm counting on you...)

Yes, you've pretty well nailed it there qwaszx.
It's not a Delahaye but 1949 Antem DB-Citroen.
There is some debate about whether it's the same Antem DB that I thought had been puzzled before (but I can't find it so it's pictured below) but modified, or if indeed it's exactly the same car with a photoshopped grille, but I believe from what I can glean from various sources that it is a different, slightly later, car with a number of detail differences.
I'll call it solved and give you the point.

Here is the former puzzle:
http://www.autopuzzles.com/forum/index.php?topic=15500.0

According to all sources I know the DB-Citroen was a one-off, so the puzzle car is just that with some later alterations. BTW, the coachwork was by Antem, but not the design which came from Stabilimenti Farina's young designer Giovanni Michelotti.

This puzzle picture is another example that you can't trust all sources: Thyssen-Bornemissza tells a different story regarding this picture, in fact two stories. According to his „Europäische Kleinwagen“ book it is a steel-bodied DB Coupé from 1951 with Panhard Dyna drivetrain and supposedly ten cars were built. According to his online encyclopedia it is a 1954 prototype of the fiberglass bodied HBR, called „Coach Standard“. I know that precision isn't one of Thyssen-Bornemissza's virtues, this time it's just hilarious.

Towing this heavy, big coupé with the by these times small Panhard dyna X engines would be hilarious. The DB story is much more interesting and intelligent than that :).
Although it didn't end very happily...
