It was Cornell University's 2010 Automotive X-Prize entrant for a 100mpg+ Hybrid car

should have added that on Cornell's website it refers to the car's name as Redshift

Yes - I had it saved as that but couldn't trace where I found the name!  I'll amend the heading.
