Welcome to my very first Puzzle Post.

Ok, I need to know the YEAR of this vehicle AND the SPECIFIC details that contribute to that year.
Of course, figuring out the vehicle is probably really helpful, but that should be too hard, right?

(For example, you could tell me the car was built in 2004 because that's the only year the fender drain plugs were black.)

WayneB

Mid 70's Mopar, 1976 Dodge Charger?

bubenator

Not a Mopar product.
Let's bump this!

Yes, it's a Cadillac, but which one and why?

sixtee5cuda

Is it a 1975 Cadillac Coupe De Ville Spring Edition?

sixtee5cuda

Or a 1975 Cadillac Calais Coupe?

WayneB

1975 Cadillac Coupe de Ville d'elegance  Manhattan ?

That was a mouthfull!

bubenator

I'm really not trying to be difficult.  :sigh:
Can you pick apart the details of the picture I've provided to demonstrate why your guess is correct?
And no, I haven't seen the correct year yet.

Hiawatha

Black magnan trim only available from 1976?

1974 Cadillac Coupe deville d'elegance with the mardi grass velour trim option with black leather bolster.

It is obviously a 2 door hardtop which makes it a coupe deville, the opera type window is part of the d'elegance package.

I am definately no Cadillac expert , but my late friend who was an engineer in the 70's at GM would have gotten it like a shot.

bubenator

Wow!  Yes, that's pretty thoroughly picked apart.  Point to you.
Here's the thing though - it's actually NOT a D'Elegance - but a regular Coupe DeVille.
Here's my official breakdown.
