Solved TGF-88: Mitchell F-50 White Streak
« on: March 27, 2013, 02:22:00 PM »
This car has been used to advertise itself; it was one (the number 19) of twenty cars.
Can you tell me what car is it and what nickname was given to these cars.

This car is a: 1922 Mitchell F50.  I believe it was called the "White Streak".  There is an example of this model (I don't know if it is the same car) at a museum in Racine, Wisconsin, the town where the Mitchell was manufactured.

Mitchell also included (merged, I think) LPT (Lewis, Petard & Cram) from Racine.  I think that this 1922 Mitchell model was made one year before the company folded up; a few cars were made in 1923.

Do you have the unaltered original photo?  That would be nice to see.
