Here's some easy puzzles although a couple may be more difficult.

Identify the make, model, year and coachbuilder for a point.

1929 Bentley Speed Six by Park Ward.
I must be right - that's what it says on Wikipedia

It's a Bentley Speed Six of 1929 but I have a different coachbuilder.....
LOCKED for you at the moment until we agree on the coachbuilder.
Do you have proof regarding Park Ward?

I reacted in haste to an image I found which is not the right car. The Park Ward car has side pontoons. So far, so bad. It looks very much like Corsica. Is it?

(Whilst browsing, I found a photo of a Speed Six being used as a stock car in the UK in the 50s, driven by one Alex Landsborough. So the French with their Bugattis and Delahayes weren't the only ones !)

No, it's not by Corsica
OPEN again

I agree that 1950s stock car racing held some very sad sights - many excellent and rare cars ending up as complete wrecks.  :(

Not American and therefore not Murphy

Gurney Nutting?
Not by Gurney Nutting but it is British - by an obscure coachbuilder...

Clue time - the coachbuilder's name is a single word of 8 letters....

Leacroft?
Not Leacroft but you are quite close alphabetically....

targhediferro

The closest I have with 8 letters and obscure enough is Melhuish.

woodinsight

It's not Lawrence or Melhuish but it does start with 'M'

I have 27 coachbuilders with names of 8 letters - let's try Marchant.

Not Marchant.....
Without wishing you to reveal all 27 of those, I will add another letter soon......

This is a bit of a reach, but I will give it a shot.  The firm Mulliner (not directly related to H.J. Mulliner. Arthur Mulliner, or Mulliner's of Birmingham) was/is located in Liverpool, very near the Bentley plant in Crewe.  While the name Mulliner is very well known in coachbuilding, this particular firm is not as well known, did/does specialty work for Bentley, has a name that begins with M, and a name that has eight letters.  So, how about: 1929 Bentley Speed Six by Mulliner?

Thanks for your full reply but it's not Mulliner or any similarly named firms.

Let's add a clue now - MxxxIxER (the xs are the missing letters)
I have to say that I didn't know this coachbuilder before and I don't know if it was an established firm or an individual.
