Not to rub it in, but even with my terrible French, I can understand the caption was meant for a trailer that was built for the French Ariane Rocket/Space Exploration project.
Cheers

Somehow the caption doesn't seem to match the picture. ???
Thanks Carnut & Wendax - this would have gone unnoticed if you both had not drawn my attention to it......

Back to the drawing board!
Egg on face time!  :bag:

I think the best solution is to relaunch this puzzle in the Pros section now that I've discovered its true identity.
Frederick59 and mekubb can keep their points as they were both correct in their observations.

Now a point is on offer for identifying the make and model of this extraordinary vehicle.
It has already been established that it is a mobile blood transfusion unit bodied by Gruau.

Would an admin kindly move it to the Professionals and I'll alter the heading to reflect its present situation.

Yes, I know Bill - I wasn't paying proper attention (probably associated with my cancer treatment at the moment)

Ouch!!

My apologies, Malcolm.  I thought I was being clever with my remark.
I am aware of your situation but did not think of it in connection with your post.

Sorry, my friend.

Bill

No problem Bill, I didn't take offense and as you probably realise (you are the same age as I am) that sometimes life can be a bit tiring at times.
I recently had to revert to a more severe treatment to deal with pain hence my occasional lack of focus - but do you know what Bill? - this site has contributed greatly to my recovery over the last couple of years - there's so much still to be discovered as I'm sure you'll agree.

No need to apologise,
Malcolm

Yes, it's definitely a mobile unit in its own right, not a semi-trailer.
There must have been another picture somewhere which that caption refers to, which is just a semi-trailer pulled by a tractor unit.

This puzzle is now open to all for the identification of the make and model of the chassis - one point still to be gained.
It has been already established that the bodywork was constructed by Gruau and that the vehicle is a mobile blood transfusion unit.

So, apologies for the screw-up - I think it's me that needs a transfusion!

sorry, but if you take a look back in the quiz, you'll find my first answer: "Saviem", and you're reply "no saviem", caused from the wrong caption...maybe...

Ah yes, you're correct!
My answer was due to me getting the captions mixed up - entirely my fault.....
You may well have gone on to solve the puzzle if I'd said yes, it is a Saviem.
In this case I'll award you your 100th point - congratulations!

Thank you very much, even if, honestly I don't know if I would have found the complete answer, my guess was only due to the family feeling front.
