There is an MG connection but not the engine!

Not an Italian motor.

A clue (similar to one I've given in my #1061) is that the base car comes from one country but the engine and car were constructed and raced in another......

Unlock it by all means. I've tried Google and Google Image, and I've been through the nostalgia forum's Australian Racing 50s thread. No clues. Is it a pre-war Magnette chassis?

A later model than a TC which rather belies the look of the car!

MG TD?
Hmm....I now have conflicting evidence that it's either a TD or TF chassis.

Just to sum up what has been established so far.....
It's an Australian MG TD/TF? based car with a Holden engine.
All I need now the the name of the person who built it.

Quite honestly I don't know what happened to the car.
I've now confirmed it was an MG TD Special fitted with a Holden engine.

Another clue - the man I'm looking for had a business to do with Holden engines and also raced other Holden engined MGs.
This one was, I believe, the first one.

Here's another small photo of the car -
