Advanced Six? (there are 4 exhausts on the manifold, so it ought to be a 4 or siamised 8 - it's a bit odd)

I'm assuming that this puzzle car is based on a production vehicle - some of the Eights were known as Ambassador. Is that the answer?

No problem. I take part for a bit of fun. You will find that my points:posts ratio is very poor because I always want to talk. I find this car a puzzle - Nash have no competition history in that era, and there is no mention of the car on Indy starting lists of 1930. I wonder why it was built, maybe our American members have some information.

I couldn't find any mention of a Nash 480 Aeropower, except in connection with the 100-year-old Swiss race track.  I know it is a 6-cylinder engine with four exhausts, but "aeropower"?  Does that mean it is an aircraft engine?

I have tried to find out its history as well but could only find that the car was exported to Argentina in 1930 and was 'bodied' by the present Swiss owner in 2005. It has a 4.6 litre engine with 120 bhp. Would be interesting to hear its story...

Prewar, racing in South America, particularly in Argentina, was well established.  But, the classes of cars were their own and bore no resemblance to US or European racing categories

I know I'm way behind (I may not catch up until after racing season...work on the race car started yesterday) but there was a movement to end the Swiss ban on racing in 2007, but to the best of my knowledge, it was refused as late as 2011.  I've always wondered why the FIM has their headquarters there.  Doesn't matter.  They still owe me money and I won't sell 'em any of my photos.  We're not exactly on speaking terms.  LOL!
