 № 888

What's the make and model designation of this car?
Who built the body and when?

Well, we have to start somewhere.

I have had no luck with the coach builder, but the basic vehicle has a number of ID characteristics that lead me to believe it may be a Minerva M4 of the year 1934.
Am I anywhere close??

Bill

Spot-on! It's indeed a 1934 Minerva M4!
Locked for you to find the coachbuilder! I give you time until your next reply.

Many searches later and no luck.

Closest I can come to so far is the Dutch coach builder Pennock who built several very similar bodies mainly on American chassis such as Studebaker.

If that is not correct, please unlock and let someone else have a chance also.

Okay thanks!

It's not Pennock, so unlocked again!

We haven't established a nationality for the coachbuilder as yet, so I will start with Bill's thought, that it is Dutch, and say: 1934 Minerva M4 by Veth & Zoon.

It's not Dutch at all.

OK. then lets drop back to the more obvious answer.  Let's assume that the coachbuiler is Belgian, and say: 1934 Minerva M4 by Van den Plas.

Ha..........

Another 70 plus year old who gets up at 0300 in the morning and can't resist a little puzzle solving.

At least that eliminates a few dozen coach builders to look at.

Not from Belgium.

No Bill, I don't get up at 0300, I just haven't gone to bed yet.

Perhaps the coachbuilder is Swiss.  1934 Minerva M4 by Tüscher?

As the puzzle is still open, may I suggest Gygax as a possibility.  They did similar bodies on other chassis.

Thank You Sir!!

This is as close as I have been able to get to your car, just found it a few minutes ago.
The chassis model is different but the body is almost identical.
