Correct, this is an Abarth (1100 cc) by Pininfarina, one of some record cars by Abarth..

Actually, all 4 wheels were covered, but I think they removed the front ones to improve the maneuverability of the car during positioning into the exhibition hall.

Does anybody know where and when this colour picture was taken?
I have a theory that this exhibition must have taken place somewhere between 25/03/1957 and 18/05/1957...but I might be completely wrong. 
It might be important for the history reconstruction of this car, so I'm looking for a confirmation.

I think it was taken at the Geneva Car Show..

The car was still painted white at Geneva, the 8! exhaust pipes were still located at the side, headlights were not yet present,...so definitely not Geneva.

That would be very interesting, because as far as I know, the car crashed during its record attempts on the 18th of May 1957, and I'm not able to find any information of the car after that date.
Some proof would be highly appreciated.

At the Geneva show in 1957 the Abarth Alfa 1100 and the Abarth 750 Pininfarina were shown together in a white and red livery. On the 18th of May 1957 the Alfa engined car had an accident at Monza driven by Thiele. It was repaired, repainted red and white and returned to Monza without establishing any new records. It is in this rebuilt form that it was shown at the 1958 Geneva show.

But that doesn't explain why the front wheels were covered but the rear ones weren't in dzima's B&W picture!
