The Series I Grantura was produced from late 1958 to 1960.

The Series II ran from 1960 to 1962.

The Series III ran from 1962 to 1966 (more or less)

There was also a Series IV made from 1966 to 1967.

The Trident (that's what the front end of the puzzle car looks like to me) was made from 1964 to 1966.

So if it's a prototype for the later models of Grantura, I'd say it was probably made in 1964.

If that's not correct, go ahead and unlock it, since I haven't been able to find a photo of the puzzle car.

 It's the TVR " TE2 " from 1963
I think that you were right and it's a Trident prototype on a Grantura platform !
Somebody has more information ?

I thank you for the point, sir.  I've found that model designation for TVR is about as convoluted as a basket of snakes.  But I learned a whole lot about 'em.  Great puzzle.

So by the time the Gem appeared the Grantura was already out of production..

The car has nothing at all to do with the Tridents of course (which, Ray, were not in production from 1964-6 as only 4 were made - 3 coupés and 1 convertible - all of them prototypes and all in 1965).

The Gem was also not based on a Grantura but the stretched 7'6" chassis which became the standard Vixen S2/Tuscan LWB and Tuscan V6 chassis.  Don't confuse Grantura Plastics (the bodymaker owned by TVR which made all TVR bodies including this one) with the TVR Grantura. Further it wasn't an official TVR prototype but TVR Racer Tommy Entwhistle's idea of where TVR should go next..

The car still exists: I saw it at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2011.

Thanks for the much more complete information than I had, Norman.  My source didn't even mention the Gem and I haven't been able to find  anything on it online.  Do you happen to have a photo of it?
