I wonder if B.M.C. had something to do with this car,or another outside Influence?

Hi Guys:

I don't want to upset anyone but it has been a slow "solving" week in spite of many hours of searching.
I posted on Gerd's thread on a Dodge WC converted to a bus in Austria that I just cannot find answer to with some "comic relief" photos that I found in my search.

Here I present two photos of Kemal Ataturk's fleet of vehicles that I found in a two hour journey through "cars of Turkey" in several variations.

Neither car is all that rare so I don't think I will spoil any future puzzle questions.

Please don't be upset with me.
Bill
Cheers
Bill

Was the manufacturer of this one-off a turkish co. or outside influence, from another country?

This was made by a Turkish company with an eye on producing this in bigger series, but something happened...

Is it me or are Karsan and Tofas the more known brands of Turkye?  Devrim is lesser known, or Zafer. But I suspect it is lesser known still?

Strange looking: The wheels and certain other aspects would lead to think they looked at the Citroen 2CV

I read that they made 2 prototypes, but I saw a picture of a more van-like car, so I presume it was the only one. I also read somehing about a fire and the government not allowing the company to make these cars in quantity.

DeAutogids - congratulations! You found the car, a much nicer picture - you obviously deserve the point. This was made in 1976
