It is indeed a quite recent glass fibre body!

Yes, that's right.
I don't know exactly when this body was fitted but it's very recently.  Chris Gould's company currently makes glass fibre bodies like this that you can buy off the shelf to fit your Austin 7 restoration into, so this car has probably only worn this body for 2 or 3 years at most.
