Raymond Pochlak built this unique sports car on DKW 1939 basis. Front wheel drive and twostroke, that is. It was presented for the public in 1960 and was a result from a bet made with his working mates. Yes, he COULD build a car!

Raymond made eight molds (in a tent in his garden) to be able to produce a body out of fibreglass. A newspaper article stated that he used 700 kg plastic to make the body, but that must have been the total weight of the car.

Both Ford Thunderbird and Austin Healey were great sources of inspiration, but the grille was taken from a scrapped Opel Kapitän 1957. It took Raymond 2 600 hours to complete the car and he drove 30 000 km over the years. The top speed was claimed to 110 km/h. Not bad for a two cylinder engine.

The picture is taken in central Stockholm in Sweden.
