I've found a lot of drivers living in Venezuela who were born in Italy, but that's the case for several South American countries. I've found a name which is possibly Polish, or at least Eastern European. Is this driver from that area?
Is it Lino Fayen? He lived and raced in Venezuela, but came from France originally, although some sources say Yugoslavia.
-
Yes!!! He is Lino Fayen came to Venezuela from France, but originally from Yugoslavia. He raced at Le Mans 1955 driving a Mercedes and 1959 a Ferrari.

Title amended

Thanks.

He was entered and raced several times at Le Mans , but his entry in 1955 was in a Moretti 750S - I really don't think he was good enough to be in the Mercedes team! He came 6th overall in 1959 in a Ferrari 250GT with Gino Munaron. He drove a strange hybrid Ferrari with a 3-litre Mercedes engine in the 1957 Venezuelan GP.
-
You're right. My source was wrong. He raced a Talbot-Lago 1954 - Moretti 1955 - Ferrari 1959 at Le Mans. And raced Mercedes in Venezuela. Sorry my mistake.
