Base car is obvious, but who was responsible for the conversion?

I think these were made by Stadtherr in Austria, the base is a VW T2 Transporter

Absolutely right, Karosserie Stadtherr in Wiener Neustadt built this hearse body using a VW T2. One more point for you.
