Apparently telaio 012L was delivered to Scuderia Ferrari March 12th 1949, later it was bought by Bracco who raced it at the Giro di Sicilia in 1949 with number 345.
The Marzotto brothers were the next owners and they had Fontana build the second barchetta body and replaced the 166 engine with a 195. Giannino Marzotto and Marco Crosara raced it at the 1950 Giro di Sicilia-Targa Florio. In 1951 it was sent back to Fontana to have the berlinetta body made and upgraded with a 2300 cc or 2500 cc engine.
Francesco Matrullo (Martullo?) replaced the Ferrari engine with an Alfa Romeo, probably 1900 cc. it also had an Alfa emblem placed at the front.
It was lost track of between 1955 and 1970 when it once more had a Ferrari 166 F2 engine installed. I has since been totally restored to the second barchetta body specification and sold at auction in 2012 for € 1,000,000.
